Xpectation Would someone be so kind to give me info on who did what, on what instrument, if others had anything to do with composing these tune. Or even better, if someone has a link to credits/musicians, production, ect.
I finally downloaded this album, and when I turn it into CD form, I would love to include this info. Thank you

I was surprised not to see the song Xenaphobia on the album. I really like the live, One Night Alone version. I like this Xpectations album. It's definetly something I'll listen to while I'm painting.

'Xenophobia' was originally the title track of 'Xpectation'. It was originally
sequenced as a 10 track album with 'Xenophobia' as track 1, and all the other tracks following on in the same order they were eventually released. This studio version of Xenophobia has never been released. on a side note, those NPGMC artworks are very cool, but just be aware that they're not official (there's been no official artwork released for any of this material).

Good to know. Thank you. Is it safe to say that the info on the made up CD art covers are correct? Meaning, was the made up CD covers from official NPGMC pages? Thanks.

Yes, I think all the info is correct. I haven't checked them all, but certainly the Xpectation credits are right.

To get 'opinionated' for a minute, I think 'Xpectation' is better than some of P's 'proper' albums, eg. 'Chaos and Disorder', and 'Musicology' for sure. 'Xpectation' is kinda 'Rainbow Children' Part II, musically speaking. I think it's special - not perfect but definitely underrated. It continues P's renewed musical inspiration from TRC and ONA that continues through ONAL, and then gradually peters out on NEWS and appears to have died again by 'Musicology' (pleasant album but Prince by numbers imo. Man that's a weak album by his standards. )
I've compiled 'Xpectation' with C-NOTE (minus 'Empty Room'). When I'm in the mood for it, that's one awesome compilation album.

Do you call it 'XXX,XXX,XXX,CNOT'? (strange, the Org won't let me put 9 X's next to each other without spaces - it only puts up five...) [Edited 9/17/05 16:33pm]

I think it's a great album and it is underrated, but not everyone likes that type of music. But as for me..I love it! "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee

I agree with you. I'm really enjoying this album. I love Prince's diversity with music. I've noticed over the past few years the different fans that gravitate to different styles, or a certian era of his music. I've never really followed his music in that way. Yes, there are certain songs/albums that move me, or provoke more emotion than others, but I dig this full spectum of music that he continues to share.
