Thanks for the help. Yep, it does. When you get it, all you need to do is select help from your start menu. Then type in something like "running Windows 95 programs" in the search menu. You'll get help on how to make the game run properly. One note: your screen resolution needs to be pretty small [800? I think. . .] to run the Diamonds & Pearls vault. . . Hope this helps!

Get it if u want, but 1st u have 2 know that, as a CD-Rom, it sucks. There's absolutely NOTHING interesting on it apart from alternate versions of Endorphinmachin, Kiss, Loose! & Interactive. The rest is stupid exploration of a stupid Prince castle with stupid things 2 do... It's ugly & boring...

The 'game' is truly so-so. Even for when it was released, it was somewhat dated. It's not 2005, it's more like 1997 or 1998 in technology so don't expect it to be all bells and whistles. It plays like Myst, but without nearly as school scenery.
Get it more for a collectable than anything else, but if you do searches on the org, you will find actual screencaps of the game and reviews from way back when that can give you more of an insight into the game. Walking alone in the dark, I see nothing u see

i think it's fun. I agree. It may not be "quake", but its a fun journey. .

...GALLERY!
*regains composure* TIPS: Set your display settings to 640x480 Windows XP? nuh uh! (Although you can still view all the video and audio clips on the CD, just browse through the folders) Uninstall your current version of Quicktime to allow the disc to install the older version. You have to install the Quicktime executable for the program to be able to work on the XP system. One Quicktime is installed, Interactive should run. But don't expect everything to work 100% smoothly - but it's better than nothing.

Yes i've seen the articles from the gallery but they don't solve my problem . They say to just drag the CD to the hi-fi which i've done but it doesn't go in the tray or play. I see no dancer and the disc just reappears where to where it started

The CD player in the game just won't work with XP - it was made before XP was even a twinkle in Bill Gates eyes, ergo - it's not going to be particularly XP friendly, obviously.

PS: squirrelgrease has posted a link to the walkthrough - this is also available in the LINKS section of each individual gallery pic listed above, so go take a look. Just bear in mind that not only the reviews above, but the link will be somewhat out of date due to being written when different operating platforms where in commons useage.

Oh okay. Could someone tell me what tracks you can play off each album in the DJ booth and wether they are just the normal album versions. Being the completist i am i just wanna know wether i'm missing out on anything special . I know you can access the videos without playing the game (including Endorphinemachine; the final video) by clicking on 'My Computer' does anyone know wether you can access the music including these tracks?

You know, about a month ago I had to buy a new hard-drive and I bought Windows XP Home Edition to load on it.
I re-installed Interactive and it plays fine (although I've not re-tried the D & P vault yet). I didn't have to fiddle or jiggle about with anything.

They are literally 30second samples mostly, and if I remember correctly, these samples can also be accessed via the files just like the video - jusy gotta root around a little.

The only "unreleased" music on the CD-rom r: - Endorphinmachine (different than the "gold" version) - Loose! (a short instrumental version playing on the "end credits") - Kiss (an instrumental version) As u can "remix" Race, some bootlegs also contained an instr version of the song, but it was made by the CD-rom user using the "remixing device", not directly available on the CD-rom as a whole. I couldn't say exactly where these 3 tracks r on the CD-R but u can find the 3 of 'em as Quicktime files & read them without playing the game. U just have 2 look 4 'em.

The version of Interactive is a little longer than the one on Crystal Ball, too. Yeah, I've rifled through the folders to separate all the Quicktime files, just so I could hear/watch them whenever I want. Just sort the files by size and they'll be easy to find (you will also get the vids this way). I'm on a Mac, and aside from playing this a few times on a work PC, I haven't used it. Still nice to have though.

But it's actually SHORTER than the Crystal Ball version, with the addition of the "NPG Operator" part, but minus one verse & chorus that r on the (originally recorded) Crytal Ball version.
