Many years ago I spent a fall semester going to a college in Minneapolis. I bought a heavy parka & boots & long underwear so I would be prepared for the worst. It snowed one day in December about a half an inch. That was it the whole time I was there. And it wasn't that cold. Theres this myth that Minnesota is the polar icecap & its not true. 
well, it's not the polar ice cap but it can get pretty durn cold. Some years are worse than others, but january ALWAYS has some bitterly cold days. It's pretty standard that we will have at least a week where we don't break above O F. | |
