CD - "Blue Note plays Prince" Heres the link:

It has been discussed. Those are not new recordings. The tracks are from Bob Belden's two Prince tribute cds, which were released in the mid-90's. It's a mixed bag, but probably as solid a tribute as you will find out there. I've played the first Belden cd when I had company a couple of times, and non-fans seem to like it a lot. This compilation seems better than the original cds they are from, simply because it excludes an horrible version of the already horrible Arms of Orion. | |

I bought this a few months back from the Virgin Megastore in London,and it's pretty nice.
Decent background coffee table jazz for when you have people round, but nothing great. I probably like the cover of Kiss the most, and When Doves Cry has grown on me a lot too. In the absence of a new Prince album, it serves a purpose. | |
