In-Depth Information on Prince recordings

Hello fellow Prince fans. I recently joined prince.org, so please forgive me if this is a rehased question. My question: Where can I get the most accurate (preferably free) in-depth information on Prince musical contributions to his own music as well as his groups? Over the years there has been some light shed on this topic, but I am trying to get his contributions on each instument played during his recording sessions. My biggest interest is in his his early, early recordings (For You) up-to and including the Parade albums (my favorite musical periods of Prince). Oh yeah: Throw in SOTT album as well. Thanks.

Well, it's not free, but there's a book entitled The Vault that is about as in-depth as you'll find. You can order it from http://www.uptown.se/2005...ault.shtml
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
