PRINCE DUETS! Okay, something I always wanted to know... There were quite a few Prince tracks in the '90s where he credits other "names" as co-vocals, such as Chante Moore, Sandra St Victor, George Clinton, etc... However, I cannot make out any other vocals besides Prince's... Anyone know the story behind that or do I just need to listen closer? | |

about 99% of the time, when prince "duets" with someone, he mixes their voice waaayyy down so you can barely hear it. i wish i knew why he does this so much. | |

Does anyone have a list of all his Duets. Sometimes people can forget about them when they're on other albums like Waiting Room or Love Song. | |

I wonder why he felt he needs Kate's voice - he mixed it so down... He should have done a "Don't Give Up-kinda thing"... | |

I wonder why he felt he needs Kate's voice - he mixed it so down... He should have done a "Don't Give Up-kinda thing"... i have NEVER been able to hear kate's involvement in that song. i think maybe there's a little flourish of her voice like at the beginning of 'why should i love you' in there somewhere? or am i imagining it? i dunno. i've never been able to hear kate in that song at all. figures, prince would collaborate with someone who hasn't released an album in over a decade, then mix her down so low that she's inaudible.  | |
