with SST being released on Itunes and the new system Billboard uses for making up the hot 100 Prince has a real good shot at selling enough copies to have his 1st top 40 hit on billboard's hot 100 aince he hit #40 with 1999 in 1999!

I don't know if S.S.T. will make the top 40 or not, but it should do some damage on the R&B chart (it's still the #1 R&B download on iTunes). Last I checked it was up to #23 on the overall digital sales chart, which may be enough to get it on the Hot 100, but we'll see...

It would be so cool if it gets into the top 40

I highly doubt it. The song isn't commercial enough for the Top 40 stations, and it isn't good enough for music lovers. Its really a pretty lame track. Prince can churn out better stuff in his sleep.

i think we are in for a pleasent suprise when the charts come out next week..there are songs in the hot 100 that are getting virtually no airplay but are on the charts because of decent sales on Itunes..and right now SST is #17 on Itunes and the #1 r&b song

i notice that too the black eyes peas the humps i havent heard it on mtv or anything and becoz of sales it doing better then dont lie which is played frequently

i notice most of the songs in the top 10 r mostly in the top ten in the hop 100

but i notice that the data is about 2 weeks old.

look at the hot digital tracks chart it looks like last weeks itunes

so it might take him 2 weeks to chart.

I think in britain the chart is totally determined bye singles sold and nothing to do with airplay but i am not 100% of this
