Extended Thunder in the Reflection Room Took a little trip the NPGMusicClub, and found Dance Electric the Glam Slam room. Not one of my faves, so I dropped by the Reflection Room.
Lo and behold, there is the Extended Thunder from the Billboards ballet. I think it is now currently playing for the 6 time in a row. Oh well, gotta go to 7 times in a row now! Anyways, as I listen to it, I truly like it. Without the ballet visuals, I can actually get into the tune. (Hint: this would be a nice download in the online store.) I remember being slightly disturbed by the choreography when I saw the ballet. Thunder has obvious religious tones and lyrics, and I was, ummmmm, a little put out to see a Madri Gras parade gone awry on stage. And interesting mix of sexually suggestive dance to a spiritual tune by a man who constantly mixes sex and religion. I have always wondered Prince felt about the interpretation of that tune. Anyways, drop on in and enjoy --- I am gearing up for #7! Ro

I know this is a stupid question, but how do I get it to play?

After you have played it once, look in your temporary internet files folder, it should appear there, and then you can copy it out and play it whenever.
Strange that they should use the version ripped from the video - you can still hear the audience - Prince must surely have a clean copy somewhere? I love the song Thunder but I don't like this extended version. The extended part consists of Kama Sutra-like 'orchestral' music, synths and tinkling piano, that doesn't even use the melody of Thunder and sounds like something unrelated that was tacked on.
