I don't understand, how can the single be #1 on the R&B chart, but only #21 on the top 100, when some of the other songs on the R&B chart rank higher on the top 100??? Can someone please explain?

I'm digging the song! Being a Mac user I didn't try to download it from NPG but once it was on itunes I grabbed it. Yay! Only bummer is that Brand New Orleans is not on itunes! I would buy that too if it was!

yeah i would love to know the figures for the downloads both from itunes and the npgmc.

in terms of downloads i imagine its initially done far more on his own site, but it doesn't seem like they submit figures officially to soundscan, simply because i'm sure that bsides and other albums put on the download site would chart somewhere on billboard, be it on digital downloads or even in the lower reaches of the top200 albums (think of the first week sales for TCI etc).

it'll be interesting to see if SST does chart this week on the hot100, it seems to be getting sporadic airplay but i'm guessing it doesn't amount to too much as noone has posted figures, implying they're negligible. how much do downloads count towards the chart, do they combine with physical sales for the 20% with 80% radio? in which case it might not be enough to crack the hot100 i'd have thought?

if you combined SST downloads with Call My Name airplay i think we'd have a hit on our hands!

the bottom line i suppose is that this must massively increase the figure going to charity, again though, i'd love to know the final figure for that one!
