They seem to have released at mid price. You can get it for under a tenner at HMV or Virgin megestore! This is England though!!
If not try Ebay. I just got Rave un2 the year 2000 for 5 English pounds. Shrink wrapped the lot. Good luck.

I highly recommend it. The music sounds re-mastered and clean (not sure if is actually remastered though) and the images are all crisp and high-resolution. Again, only from Amazon.ca. If you try eBay, you may be getting either a bootleg or a transfer - YUCK!

The amazon.ca(not .com) SOTT DVD is by far the superior release. Don't bother with the other sites or e-stores, you may get a turd. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

The amazon.co.uk one I linked to is the same as the Canadian one, though distributed by a company called Network, apart from it is Pal which is the only standard some (mostly older) dvd players and tvs will play in Europe. Always best to check your equipment first before purchasing!

Always best to check your equipment first before purchasing! Gotcha. I knew there was a PAL version out there, I heard something to the effect that it may be slightly sped up vs. the NTSC DVD. Do you know if the PAL is sped up at all? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Willing to pay $25 I found the Sign O The Times DVD at Best Buy about a year ago. It has sub-titles in German. Some of the English subtitles are wrong when they are translated. I paid $20 for it.

It still suffers from the same annoyance that plagued the initial VHS release... 2005 and they still can't get it right, it's quite pathetic... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I've seen the "import"/"prehaps not so legit" verison at various stores as well. Is it the full movie?

Pal runs at 25fps. Close to cinema's 24fps but no cigar, it therefore runs at a slightly faster speed. Affionados reckon you can tell the difference, but really, unless you're running the NTSC version in one ear and the Pal version the other, I don't think you're going to notice hugely. Besides, the advantage Pal has is that the resolution is higher. Pal is the standard in Europe, I don't know why. Why the heck someone doesn't come up with a version that the framerate of NTSC and the resolution of Pal I don't know. So it depends whether you want slightly more realistic audio or a slightly better picture. Apples and Oranges. And the point I was making, was that there's no point buying a version of either if your equipment can't handle it. I have read threads where people are complaining the Canadian version is coming out black & white and other problems on their tv (because there equipment doesn't support NTSC).

The poor translations of the subtitles are a little annoying. Other than that the DVD is pretty good for $20.Besides, there is no wait for something to come in the mail. It is just like the VHS I purchased over 10 years ago.
