So Sign O' The Times has been on TV a lot lately.... .....and I've been watching it every chance I get. I think I can count up to a bilion as a number of times I have seen it at this point. But since this is Prince in his prime, I just can't turn away.
You know what it is (and some of you may find this reason a little silly): I never got to see the movie in it's theatrical release back in 1987. I was about 5 years old, and my babysitter promised me that she would take me to see it. I kept bugging her all night too. But what did we end up seeing? That fucking piece of shit called Teen Wolf Too! She lied to me! So now, I'm just trying to relive that moment that never was. I would've been so happy if I did see it then. But who ever said that life was fair? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

I doubt you would have been allowed in at age 5. After all, Cat swears in it. Imagine going home to your parents and saying, "I liked the bit where Cat said 'Fuck Off' and Prince ate her skirt".
Teen Wolf was a classic with the excellent Michael J. Fox, who knew the sequel would be so ropey with a different actor!

It was mainly given to U.S. fans to make up for Prince ending his tour in Europe before bringing it to the States as planned beforehand.

Last month, the Encore channel was playing it every other day. My 8 year old son loves it. Especially "Beautiful Night" and "The Cross" but on B.N, I had to cover his eyes when Sheila E got off the drum-kit to rap. The outfit she wore was just a little too revealing for a boy his age to see, if you know what I mean. You know what it is (and some of you may find this reason a little silly): I never got to see the movie in it's theatrical release back in 1987. I saw the theatrical release, and then could not WAIT to get the VHS as soon as it got out. I watched that tape so much is was getting grainy and the sound starting sounding warbled.
I'm SO glad I have it on DVD now! For those of you from Detroit, I saw it at the Eastland Mall theater, the one that used to be outside. Ahhh, memories! Probably one of the best Prince memories I have!

Teen Wolf was a classic with the excellent Michael J. Fox, who knew the sequel would be so ropey with a different actor! In the US, anyone at any age can get into a theater as long as they are with an adult. Except for NC-17 and X rated films, of course. And I recently found out that an extra in one of the gymnasium scenes in Teen Wolf pulled his dick out of his pants. It's in the background and the movie was released to theaters and video with the scene. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

But who ever said that life was fair? I ran to the Vista in Hollywood to see it when it came out 1987. I was so surprised that more people weren't there to see SOTT.....I too have watched and taped it on my DVD player when it comes on....
