So here in NYC over at the IFC both friday and saturday night they played Purple Rain at Midnight. It was Sweet!!! it was the first time is seen it on the big screen. I took my girlfriend and my best friend and his girlfriend. It was the girls first time seeing it and they Loved it. The Audience was THE BEST audience i have ever seen a film with. of course i went all glamed up special for the occision. i was like this is a movie priemer we should dress up lol we had a good time. we snuck a couple of beers in and chilled in the back corner. afterwards we went out dancing. it was one of the best nights i have had in a long time. it reminded me of high school where you and your boy take your girls out on the town and everything is all good. if you were there last night apart of the audience you were the BEST and made it even more of a great experience. ya'll made it much more fun, and it was cool to see that i wasn't the only one who knew all the lines all the songs even when Prince puts his glasses on and the music starts up again.... those of you know what i mean.

seeing the movie on the big screen was a whole different experience than seeing on tv. it just had a different effect on me. i seen it in a whole new light. and i just felt so bad for the Kid when he played purple rain. it was actually the first time i cried. Prince performance was dead on it... everyone played there parts well... Morris and Jerome, Billy, Jill, Apples they all played there parts perfectly... and i could help but laff seeing Sampson playing the kids dad. and also considering how nudity and violence are played out in modern day films. it seem to me that Purple Rain was so PG-13 according to modernday standerds...

anyway it was BIG FUN.
