Those gigs were fucking amazing...Prince at his peak, the piano medley was brilliant in particular. And the sight of 10,000 mulleted, mustachioe'd German fans clapping out of time was breathtaking

Is it considered a boot since it wasn't released over here but was released?
Also anyone know of any way to come by a copy? "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

Also anyone know of any way to come by a copy? The videos frequently come up on ebay, probably in PAL but they aren't hard find.

I came home and put the video into the vcr and watched it till 4 in the morning - what a concert, what a great show! i like the anastacia-song, the piano-meddley, .... back in 88 my wife and me has been in frankfurt / germany for lovesexy - we just were 18 and drove my fathers car from innsbruck / austria to frankfurt (~600 km) to attend the show - it was just a great night! thx for reminding [Edited 9/11/05 3:53am]

I don't know about the mustaches, But i am pretty sure most of the people attending were from Holland (hence the shouting, awaiting the encore), As prince had liked them so much he wanted them to bring the righct atmosphere for the live show being broadcasted... (certainly dont know 'bout the handclapping....)

(I think I am gonna cry. I'm vaclempt! Talk amongst yourselves....) lovesexy indeed was a great show, but 4 sure, there have also been many others that can compete: just a few: ona in berlin zürich with lary graham & chaka khan vienna, technical museum, aftershow ... netzverwalter

Anyway, thanks Eklektika7 for reminding me (us).Ít's been a while since I last watched this show. Thanks to the thread I took the videotape from under the dust and had a great evening watching this show once more. The breaks between the music are a bit long here an there, but it remains a great show!

I just watched my fave parts of this last night:
Superfunkycalifragisexy (I love the faces he makes when Cat "ties" him to the chair) Lovesexy (love the dance he does) Eye Wish U Heaven (say Hello to the Blue Angel) Anybody feel good tonight? That feeling is..... ...LOVESEXY. I love how he says that and the look he gives. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Not wanting to be morbid or anything but I remember thinking at the time that this would be a good concert to show as a tribute when Prince dies.

I was there back in the day. Great concert, great memories. Thanx for reminding! -----------------------------------------

You could get the tickets plus the bustrip to dortmund for an 'attractive' prize. Most of the tickets of that show were offered in Holland (I don't know why, somebody said this to me) So in the end, there were much more dutch people attending the concert, singing dutch soccer songs. ( ) There has always been a rivalry between the dutch and german soccer teams (even before world war II), so they (the german prince-fans) reponded a little bit angry. The concert was ok. It is still one the best concerts i have seen, and one of the best experiences ever in my life.

As i said before, i remeber it being an exrta show with t"he tickets being sold in Holland to thank the fans and to be sure to get a great atmosphere for the boradcast. And it certainly looked like Prince had a great evening. During Purple rain: "One time to remember...
