"When a minority realizes its similarities on a higher level- not just "black"- but PEOPLE OF COLOR, and higher still "INDIGENOUS", and even higher still, "FROM THE TRIBE OF.", and yet higher- the "RAINBOW CHILDREN"."

Make of that, what you will.

The Rainbow Children live beyond the Graffiti Bridge, in a faraway land where people greet each other with only one word: "Hundalasiliah!" neutral

A few years back I asked my uncle who is a long-standing JW, about what he thinks of the term "The Rainbow Children." He said there are people on this earth and they live somewhere in the Pacific Rim/Orient/South Pacific that are part of this "race," if you will.

Beside that I was amazed that my uncle knew about the term "rainbow children" as Prince was just dropping the advance NPGMC copy for all to listen back in 2001.

Don't know if this is true, but "The Rainbow Children," as a release by Prince, is complicated, deep, funky, soulful, grooveable, and enjoyable.

Discuss.

As a JW myself, I thought it more likely pertained to the "rainbow covenant" that God made with man after the great flood...

If we wanna get technical, you can find the Rainbow Children listed on the back inside cover of the CD. The Rainbow Children are:

Drumz: John Blackwell the Magnificent
Soprano Sax Appeal & Flute: Najee
Backing Vox: Milenia, Kip Blackshire, Mr. Hayes, Femi Jiya
Bazz on the Work Pt. 1 & Last December: Mr. Larry Graham Jr.
Group Hornz: Hornheadz
All other instruments--gitial or otherwise, lead and co-lead vox, percussion and sound FX per4ormed by PRINCE...and U

So, The Rainbow Children is 1) Prince and the Band; and 2) "U"--whoever reads the back insert of the CD. biggrin

ok i'm just gonna be serious about this and answer the damn question.

when i first heard the bit of rc that i have i thought the term "rainbow children" reffered to black people becuase they come in every shade of the human rainbow (dont jump on me yall, i was goin thru my say it loud im blk and reaaaaly proud thing) but then when i really started thinkin about it i realized that it just reffered to people, because ALL people come in diff. shades of the human rainbow. now which people specifacly i dunno. it could be ALL people, or jehovah's only, or just believers in general.
i tend to think its believers in general and that the banished ones are all that dont believe
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!
