The Colin and Edith show do a contest where 2 fans of a different artist go head to head against each other.
Someone in here posted a link to it.
Well i went and filled in the entry form and guess what?

Someone from Radio 1 phoned me up today and told me that i was in the shortlist for people representing Prince and it was to be contested tomorrow.

Im bloody dead nervous now.
Need to swot up tonight.

did anyone else in here go for it?

I had the call today too. Very lovely lady named Chloe. Said they'd ring me tommorow morning if it's me they pick. Said they'd had a lot of Prince fans apply.

Going to have a "Prince-only" evening.

I'm an office listener, so I'm kinda one ear on the radio, other in the phone but I think typical kinda questions are like:

Debut single

How old when they signed a deal

Biggest hit [they will definitely ask the old "What was his only UK No1?" at some point, maybe not the first day but a subsequent one (if we get that far!)

On your first day they go quite easy on you but the current champion is pretty damn good. If it's still the Stereophonic guy. He played an Oasis fan today but I missed who won due to work.

I think if you win first time, they play you your fave song. Then they start getting deeper, delving into Radio 1's vaults for live stuff, sessions and the like.

You know, I don't know if you get any prize other than hearing your fave artist on the radio, so whoever gets on has the heavy responsibility of getting as much Prince onto our radios as possible!

i have just listened to the archive of todays show at the web-site and it was Oasis vs Britney.
Britney kicked the guys ass.
The questions seemed to be quite general.
