A brilliant piece of work that I always forget totally and discover by some accident. It went to another performer instead who recorded his own version of it - the name eludes me for the moment, but I believe it was also officially released.

Goodman was recorded by Prince in the summer of 1989 and slated for the Margie Cox project MC Flash. It was then overdubbed with (MC Flash's guitarist) Billy Franze's vocals for the release. The MC Flash album was never released.

Love this song. Very funky. I always play this song together with MIND BELLS and BLISS. They seem to belong together, to me, for some reason.
