Prince's guest appearances on other people's songs (i.e. not written/produced by Prince) Is this the extent of the released tracks? I'm thinking of burning a CDR:
Got To Be Something Here - The Lewis Conection Stand Back - Stevie Nicks 77 Bleeker St. - Jill Jones Tweakin' (mixes) - George Clinton Gimme Your Love (Extended Remix) - Aretha Franklin / James Brown Lolly Lolly (According To Prince) - Wendy & Lisa Like A Prayer (Extended Version) - Madonna Keep It Together - Madonna Act Of Contrition - Madonna Bang Bang - Brownmark Candle Dance - Ingrid Chavez Hippy Blood (mixes) - Ingrid Chavez Crying - Lois Lane I Oh I - Lois Lane Why Should I Love You? - Kate Bush Providence - Ani Difranco Star*69 (PS With Love) - Common So What The Fuss - Stevie Wonder Paradigm - George Clinton I'm not including 94 East tracks, because these are almost a project in themselves, rather than guest appearances on someone else's tracks. I'm not including Kenya because Prince was involved in the rest of the Eric Leeds Time Squared album, so it seems odd to remove that one track from the rest of the album. I've removed Around The World by Nikka Costa until I get any real confirmation he was involved - the rest of the NPG is on that track, from what I've been told, and I'm not sure if the guitar is credited to anyone (I downloaded it from iTunes, where there are no credits...), but it wouldn't surprise me if it's him on guitar - it's his sound, certainly, but that would make sense since the NPG play on it. Anyone have any idea about A Woman's Gotta Have It? Again, it wouldn't surprise me too much, except that he wasn't shy about crediting himself on the rest of 1-800 NEW FUNK, so why not here too? I believe he also played keys on Common's "Star*69(Ps With Love)" off the Electric Circus CD.

Didn't he get some writing credit for that, though? I might be wrong.

the 94 East songs, the Lewis Connection....
and some others that are or are not..LOL such as Natural Selection's "Do Anything" - the original demo had Ingrid Chavez as the female voice. Tony Lemans' Different Kinda Thang? Mazarati's "I Guess It's All Over" and "Stawberry Lover"?? I'm sure he had some involvement in the 2 George Clinton Paisley releases.?? Fonky Balheads..I'm sure that's him on guitar on "Passing Your Name" if not on the album version, I'm sure he had a hand on the remix that was on one of the NPG Ahdio shows. I wouldn't be surprised if he did more work on the Fonky Baldhead CD.?? Wasn't it rumored he did something for Stevie Wonder on ....the name is escaping me..I want to say "Cold Chill" or "Cold Fever"??? Also there was a rumor of him being on a few tracks a few years ago on a Bootsy Collins album under the alias of "The One"?? and I'm sure that that is only the TIP of the iceburg...I'm also curious as to if anything on the last 2 Lenny Kravitz albums had Prince on anything, since they recorded a few things together with a tight lip as to what ....reminds me of the Miles Davis recordings..where no one would comment if he did or didn't and if so which tracks..LOL...so I'm sure there is a bundle of stuff out there, that is uncredited. I still like to think that Prince helped create Amandla for Miles Davis..

I believe he recorded a guitar track version for it, but the version that he performed on wasn't released on the album.

Stand Back - Stevie Nicks
77 Bleeker St. - Jill Jones Tweakin' (mixes) - George Clinton Gimme Your Love (Extended Remix) - Aretha Franklin / James Brown Lolly Lolly (According To Prince) - Wendy & Lisa Like A Prayer (Extended Version) - Madonna Keep It Together - Madonna Act Of Contrition - Madonna Bang Bang - Brownmark Hippy Blood (mixes) - Ingrid Chavez So What The Fuss - Stevie Wonder Around The World - Nikka Costa Paradigm - George Clinton According to The Vault, you could add: Some of the 94 East recordings Candle Dance - Ingrid Chavez Crying - Lois Lane Got To Be Something Here - The Lewis Connection I Oh I - Lois Lane Kenya - Erica Leeds Providence - Ani Difranco Star 69(PS With Love) - Common Why Should I Love You? - Kate Bush and possibly 'A Woman's Gotta have It' by Nona Gaye. (I've never seen anything that backs Prince contributing to Nikka Costa's 'Around The World' however.) . ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

I still like to think that Prince helped create Amandla for Miles Davis.. Do Anything has no Prince input, although it definitely sounds like him. This is often mistaken as a Prince track. Tony LeMans' Different Kinda Thang - not that I know of - anyone? Mazarati's tracks - again, not that I know of - I think he was only involved in 100MPH and, of course, Kiss. George Clinton - the story is that he was only involved on The Big Pump on Hey Man, Smell My Finger - not included here because he wrote/produced the track as well as played on it. Fonky Baldheads - Passing Your Name - this wouldn't surprise me, since he played guitar on that when FBH opened various 2001 Hit 'n' Run shows - I haven't heard the NPG Ahdio version in years (and I don't think I've heard the original), but I have not heard any confirmation that he's on this). Stevie Wonder - his guitar part on Cold Chill was for an unreleased remix. Bootsy Collins - I heard this rumor at the time, but I think it was confirmed that "The One" is another musician. Lenny kravitz - I'm sure he's on something, but who knows what? Prince guesting could often be confused for Lenny. Speaking of which, I remember Prince saying that Lenny played on a released Prince track - I think something from C&D, or Peach or something. Prince did not confirm which track, though. Miles Davis - I doubt it, since this is fairly well documented (as well as it can be, anyway), but again, who knows. All the information above is from memory - somebody please correct anything which is false, and let me know if there is confirmation of Prince playing on any other tracks not written by him.
