Dream "Chocolate Invasion" configuration I'm finally listening to the TCI download and liking some of it more than I ever did. I bet if he had really narrowed this period's tracks into one album, he could've had a hit. At least it would've been a hit on my stereo.

I think it's better the way it is as The Chololate Invasion and Slaughter House. Cause if it was released like that it would be missing great songs like Peace, Golden Parachute, Sex Me? Sex Me Not, Props 'N' Pounds and The Dance. [Edited 9/6/05 14:46pm] "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee

[Edited 9/6/05 14:46pm] See, those are the ones I could've lived without hearing. They all sound kind of tossed-off, IMO. Don't have much replay value.

I'm thinking this thread would be more suited to a dream High configuration.
Seems TCI and TSH were quickly thought up compilations after Prince decided against the original TCI CD set.

I know, I orginally thought of that, but I hate the "High" track so much, I couldn't bear...I like the idea of a "Chocolate Invasion" CD. It could have a real mix of the more bubblegum stuff like Northside and Vavoom, and then hit you with harder, political (paranoid?) stuff like Radical Man/When Will Be Paid, and then finally go out nicely with U Make My Sunshine. I always assumed that the download albums of TCI and TSH is exactly what was going to be released on the box set (along with CNOTE, ONA, Xpectation, and possibly 1 other CD of 2001 tracks - ie.My Medallion, Madrid 2 Chicago etc). I always assumed that it was cancelled because he saw the potential of a set like this in the download store... but that's my theory anyway.
