source for irrestible B^$@h ok...in case I missed it....I don't have DMSR...so could someone tell me who was the inspiration for :Irrestible Bitch or the story behind the composition | |

Cloreen Bacon Skind- In need for the most explanation. Morris and Prince were in the studio working on the Time's album 'What Time Is It?'. 2 keep Morris in the pocket, Prince would go in2 an alter ego voice that was sick, spirited and highly percussive. This kept it funky. He was just looking for a funky beat 2 layer instruments on. the bass line was not important, so he just played the beat on the bass so 2 speak. A new style of playing derived from this recording style and several songs were cut in the same vibe- the coolest being Irresistible Bitch. Only Morris and Prince were present on this recording. Everything u hear is impromptu. No lyrics or music, even the title was made up a split second be4 u hear it.
I don't have DMSR either but this was from the Crystal Ball booklet. Hope this helped. | |

The inspiration behind the song was Vanity as was Wonderful Ass as it was originally recorded in 1983. __________________________________________________

"Irresistible Bitch" was originally composed back in December of 1981. Prince met Denise Matthews (aka "Vanity") for the first time at the American Music Awards in January of 1982. The specific inspiration for "Irresistible Bitch" has never been revealed to my knowledge. | |
