EMANCIPATION Which disc is your fav. of the 3? If you could compile the whole set into 1 disc how what songs would you include?
When it 1st came out, I wasn't ready for it, and only skimmed through it a couple times. I'm just now starting to get into this album and I'm wondering if I'm overlooking any good songs that might grow on me. I'm a newb, so sorry if this has been discussed b4. So far I only REALLY like I. Luv, please give every song a chance on there, this happens to be my favorite album and era of Prince. I love Emancipation. These are my favorites I would like on on cd:

We have been talking before about Emancipation. It got a lot of haters but there are true lovers too. Emancipation second CD, is the best he did in the 90-ties, ofcourse it has some weak songs in 3 hours of music, but Purple Rain would have been bad if he would have released his weaker songs of that period with that too....
basically the album is so special cause it portrais his love and marriage with Mayte...it is in my top 5 favourite Prince albums... | |

I totally agree. i didn't like it when it first came out but now I really love this record. There's a few tracks I can't stand but on the whole it has a great positive feel. Disc 2 is as good as anything he's done pretty much. Some people don't like the production, but I reckon it's a great soul record. i may be alone but I also really like the covers of Betcha by Golly Wow and la La la says I love u. On the other hand, the cover and the art direction throughout is as bad as anything I've ever seen. Only chaos and disorder has a worse cover. I'm testing postive 4 the funk | |
