He likes Woody Allen, I heard. Probably not now, since Woody is a renouned atheist.

His favorite film is the Matrix, don't forget. He seems to like films that back up his paranoid religious views.

Prince is a true movie addict, probably even a real cineast.
You can tell by the way he keeps referencing movies in interviews to bring his point across.

"Apollonia", the name, was influenced by The Godfather.

And there was this news not too long ago about him and Mani at the movies, and they said he used to work as an usher...not too sure about that though.

There are lots of movie references in his music and in his interviews.

and while we're mentioning Spike Lee, who Prince, apparently loves ... I'm sure Prince liked Malcolm Xsince Spike has publicly said Prince was among the celebrities who donated money to finish the expensive film.

I think we started seeing more race-affirming statements/creations from Prince after that ..


Also, I'm sure Malcolm X's speeches about family names lost during slavery may have raised Prince's consciousness and in some way influenced Family Name on RC. I've been surprised that Prince never went Muslim... guess he couldn't give up the conk.

He must be somewhat a Speilberg fan. He references AI: Artificla Intelligence in Judas Smile ("how dare you call a robot mecca") and the following year he invited fans at the Xenophobia celebration to go see Minority Report with him.

Of course, Kevin Smith tells us he was a fan of Dogma, but it wouldn't suprise me if his views have changed in the last few years
