Question: When does Prince sleep?

I'm not trying to be funny or anything. I'm serious. He has numerous released tracks, and unreleased tracks , all kinds of videos and not to mention all the concerts he's done. Seems like he's always doing something.....when does he actually rest? Man he's constantly doing something.
"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

The only times I can think of where I saw him sleep:

1) 4 a quick second in the movie Purple Rain (in the basement the morning after going ballistic)

2) On MTV's TRL, just before the show started (he was sick that day)
Don't hate me 'cause I'm NOT beautiful

And for a person that really doesn't sleep that often or that much he has mucho grande energy. Just think of the energy it takes alone to do all those tours he's done.....heck even just now. I was fortunate enough to come by a dvd of the L.A. show from this last tour and GOD how much energy he expended in that one show!! eek eek I can't imagine doing that night after night. My GOD that man must be in great physical shape!! eek cool biggrin

good q
one time, i saw him perform 3 times
at 3 different places
within one 24-hour period
i didn't sleep during that entire time
and i don't think he did either
maybe he sleeps in the car between gigs?
i've often heard ppl say he's on drugs
because he doesn't sleep much
if that's so, then music is his drug

As far as I know he just has no set sleeping schedule, but if you can do anything you want and don't necessarily have to do things at set times, then why get up every morning at 6:30am and be in bed by 11pm? Besides making music, what is does he have to do? Of course he writes and records whenever he feels like it.

when i saw him at the afterparty in dallas last year it was 3 am almost 4 and every one around him was exhausted, he was full of energy, I think he's a day sleeper.

if I had my choice I'd sleep all day and stay up all night. Some people are night owls, I know I am. He probably is too, he has never been a sleeper--if I remember correctly he used to talk about riding his bike in the wee hours of the morning back in 80-81.

Not sure if he's still doing drugs, but he used to. On the bus he watches the show. It's not surprising he can't sleep much after doing a show. I've heard the same about pro athletes not being able to sleep after a game.

I remember once, long ago, reading that, at the time, he slept from somewhere like 3 hours a night between 6 - 9 AM.

I'd have that type of energy. If all I had 2 do is make music - I wouldn't sleep either.

Sometimes I get on projects that I'm doing. Like editing home video - I find myself with a bunch of energy. I don't stop working on a project until it's finished. I heard or read somewhere that when Prince starts on a song, he finishes it in one day, Said something to the effect. If he stopped working on it and came back to it the next day he would have lost interest in it. I know how that feels, I've been there on that level.

He goes to bed around 11:47. And gets up around 7:03.

I once read in Ebony magazine a interview he did around that emancipation era
he mentioned he had a bedroom inside paisley park he would use when he got tired from overnight sessions!

Same here. I stick with the same song until I'm done, and sometimes that's not until more than 12 hours later. I don't eat or sleep, and it's as if time hasn't passed. It's the same with almost any creative act.

Sign that there were problems confused confused confused --There's nothing new under thesun

"Your sleeping styles Reveal about your Marriage"
Are you or your husband sleeping in a really peculiar position, maybe sliding halfway off the bed (as if to escape from each other) or ending up head-to-toe (as if you're traveling in different directions)? Pay attention: You or he may be acting out an unacknowledged need to pull away from each other, from the marriage. If you suspect that's the case, a marriage counselor may help you sort what's going on beneath the surface of your relationship.

But unless there are other signs of discontent, don't assume that a weird new position is a nuclear strike. "Unless there appears to be a power struggle being waged during the night and the day, don't over-interpret," says Dr. Glass. "when you sit in a chair or on the sofa, you don't always sit in the same way. Sometimes when we're hurting we want closeness and sometimes we want space." And sometimes we're just very creative in bed.

I see P as a very strong "type A" personality that requires little sleep. I think he instead gets his energy from his music.

See i was thinking that. Maybe cause he's short he's got less body to use/less blood to pump around it, therefore he's got more energy.

His skin is perfect too bawl

You should see him without make up before you can say something like that.

exactly. some people dont stop to think that when celebs show up in public or in a mag, they have been "made" to look that way.

no doubt that P is a very handsome individual, and that can't be faked, but the flawless skin is undoubtedly an illusion
