I have this CD. Blue Note, imho, is a good jazz label. Someof the cover versions are really quite listenable. They differ from the originals, which I prefer. There's no point trying to recreate songs right?
I recommend it. I'd give the CD 7 1/2 out of 10. Put yourself on the worldwide org map! www.frappr.com/princeorg

07. Wallace Roney & Kenny Garrett with Bob Belden - Electric Chair
This track rocks hard. I love Wallace Roney and was excited to see him doing a Prince cover. I jam this one on a few of my radio shows. It's not only very faithful to the original arrangement, but it also features some great improvs and solos. Imagine Miles jamming to Electric Chair back in '89 and you can get an idea of what this sounds like.
