The Return of The Bump Squad & Big Fun I always loved these two jams from "Exodus", for some reason not too many other fans agree. Anyway, I know that Prince's voice was harmonized with Sonny's on most of the tracks on this album, and "Bump Squad" also features Nona Gaye...But it sounds like there's a third male singing on this track, any idea who it is?

exodus is his second best album, after batman which is my fav. return of the bump squad is the best on the album, and of cause the exodus has begun | |

I was JUST about to start "The Return Of The Bump Squad" appreciation thread. You beat me to it. "Big Fun" is also kind of... er, big fun. It's rather dark, the instrumentation is perfect. Only thing that's irritating on it are the "get freaky" chants and for some reason he chose to recycle them for "Newpower Soul" as well.
If Prince had sung the lead vocals on all of the cuts many fans would consider "Exodus" the best album he did in the 90s. | |

Ooh...I just bought this off of Ebay and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Can't wait to listen!  I tracked it down cause I have the Return of the Bump Squad boot, but wanted the "official" album version of the song.
