Greatest Most Ecstatic Moment In All Prince

As we all know, there are thousands of really amazing moments in Prince's music (his music is all about the joy of music, after all), but when I listen to 'Eye No' on the LoveSexy album, and he says, "Say... Yes", towards the end, after having said 'Say...No' a few times, and the whole band screams back 'YES!!!'

That for me has to be one of the most joyous moments in all music ever. Played loud it just knocks my socks off. It's just so positive and happy.

Do any of you have any other great moments you can think of?

I really love a lot of things like that in P's music, but one that i like the most is maybe the bass part in just as long as we're together. The part at around 3.30. I just love it!!

joy is a great element of prince music. Just the pure uplifting energy from the music and performance.

Believe it or not, the song "Everywhere" has a similar effect on me.

i totally agree. Even his saddest songs are uplifting in a strange kind of way. For example, love u but don't trust u anymore. Condition of the Heart etc. I think it's all to do with the complete honesty of his music. He gives his all to everything he does. He obviously loves life and music so much, and we're all pretty lucky to be able to share in it. Thank you Prince

yes, I love that one too. If you hear 'Everywhere' first thing in the morning, then you're bound to feel pretty good all day.

I'm not the only one then! smile This is a moment of pure joy.

I'm not religious, don't believe in god, but if this is an indication of how his belief makes him feel then i'm really happy for him. Puts little tingles down my spine biggrin

Eye Know is vomit inducing forced. Now the breakdown sludge of Lovesexy, the song is tight! Where everything is happening all at once and ending with the house metaphors. Too chill.
