I believe he is talking about what will happen in the rapture. Read REVELATIONS and You will see the similarities btw. that and 7. He is talking about how this world will crumble, and all that will be left is the kingdom God has made for us. He is talking about Heaven. "THERE WILL BE NO DEATH FOR WITH EVERY BREATH, THE VOICE OF MANY COLORS, SINGS A SONG THATS SO BOOOOOLLLD" is like one of my fav. lines outta any Prince songs. That is how it will be in Heaven. | |

Oh and I forgot to add.....I kinda think that the WE in the song is him and Jesus/God/Buddha/Jehova, or whoever he believes in these days..... | |

It's in line with his usual people and place-based utopian themes.
The symbol album is, overall, apocalyptic in nature. The old order is being destroyed, in order to create a new one, peopled by the "new power generation" (used to be the new breed, now the rainbow children)... Revelation is right. I see hints of chapter 13, and the beginning of chapter 21. | |
