the rosie gaines mp3 problem

has anyone downloaded any mp3 from rosie's site? Has someone been able 2 find out which ones contain any P involvement? If not, r there any songs that u downloaded where u can clearly recognize Prince's touch or input?

I would like 2 have ur opinions b4 i d/l anything. I'm not 2 rich these days so i'd like 2 get Prince material only.

Thanx.

On the Closer Than Close CD, Prince has involvement in at least "I Want U" and "My Tender Heart". That's what the liner notes say.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

There is an mp3 version of the Junior Vasquez Dance Mix of 'Exploding All Over Europe' which was co-written by Prince and Ingrid Chavez.

I've downloaded Try Me, the unreleased 1992/4 project.
According to some people there's some Prince compositions *. I'm not sure but it's quite an interesting album in my opinion, if only to listen to Rosie's voice.

Jah Love
Lost In The Wilderness
Play The Beat

Hmmm, this is interesting. I didn't know Rosie had posted older MP3s on her site. Is the posted version of Hit U In The Socket from 1994 any different than the 2001 NPGMC version?

Boris, could you chime in if there any other tracks with P input (if you read this thread)?

nod It's a totally different mix. Sounds funkier, more upbeat and it's called In The Socket
Why don't you give it a listen? http://www.rosiegaines.co...rival%20CD
Search under TRY ME

So I guess we can now consider In The Socket and Exploding All Over Europe (Junior Vasquez Dance Mix) to be released tracks? Anyone know when these were posted for download?

This is a little bit misleading.

As you say, there are some people who have suggested that Prince wrote or co-wrote some of or all of the songs listed above from the previously unreleased 1994 album.

However, whilst Boris provided a very useful list on the thread you link to, he personally didn't suggest that the above were genuine Prince compositions. These featured in another list on the same thread produced by someone else which certainly is not accurate as far as Prince compositions go.

Hmmm, the tracks without writer's credit on the album Try Me are:

B.I.T.C.H. - these lyrics are also written in Princebonics
In The Middle Of A Garden - including lyrics about a "perpetual dawn"
In The Socket - which we know was written/co-written by Prince
Lost In The Wilderness
Crazy Mutha Fonky
The Greatest Touch
Play That Beat
Jah Love

Now, many of these don't sound like they have Prince input at all, but it is worth noting that all the other tracks have writer's credits, and these ones don't.
