ona in shops?

Will One Nite Alone ever be available to purchase in the shops? I really would love to get my hands on a copy, but, I have a real problem about joining NPGMC!
In this world of choice and variety, why would anyone wish to pay for something before hearing what it has to offer?
Don't get me wrong, I've followed Prince since '84, but, to throw money at the man for something only vaguely guaraunteed seems a bit strange!

Some people have responsibilities outside of putting more money into Prince's already fat pockets, and some people, especially in this economy, don't have $100 to waste on bullshit...

I think that all mackopolis was trying to say was that he could see paying $15.99 for a CD he's never heard without much of a problem, but if he has to pay $100 to get a hold of that same CD, then he wants to KNOW that he is getting his money's worth...

For those Prince fans who don't have money to pay their bills, let alone have money to spare for "the little extras", $100 is a lot of money...

If you are one of those people that don't have to worry about money, that can buy what they want when they want it without it being a strain on the wallet, then you should consider yourselves blessed...

You certainly have no business passing judgment on someone who's not as fortunate as you are, nor should you attack a person for having priorities that aren't similiar to yours...how would you like it if someone passed judgment on you for not wanting to pay $100 to get into a music club? It's almost like you're saying to him that he doesn't have the right to decide what he does and what he does not want to spend his money on...

Prince has hundreds of thousands of fans (at least that's what I'm assuming)...why do some of you insist that all Prince fans have to agree on everything all the time?

Plus, let's keep in mind that there were two other occasions in which Prince said that his music would only be available online, just to have that same music appear in stores, WHERE HE SAID THE MUSIC WOULDN'T BE...anybody remember "Crystal Ball"? And remember, when "The Rainbow Children" came out, at first it was "only available online", now you can purchase it at either Best Buy or Sam Goody...so I think Mackopolis has a vaild point...

Why pay $100 for something "exclusive" if it's only going to appear in the stores at a later time?

Mack, I say, "Hold onto your money and ride this one out before you committ to something you might later regret"

Why, why, why is it so hard to understand that club dues are club dues???!!!

U are not buying CDs with club dues.

Do U see that only club members can go to celebration? That is a club privilege.

Do U see that only club members can buy pre-sale tickets for the best seats in the house, not to mention some got afterparties, and soundchecks? Those are club privileges.

Do U see that only club members received the new CD? That is a club privilege?

If the CD was in the store, and U bought it but decided that U didn't like it, could U take it back? NOOO!

U might say that if it were in the store, I could sample it first. U can go to the public site and sample it. Then U
still can not buy it. Receiving it FREE is a club privilege!

Remember, there are to be 3 more CDs. Paying(in the store) an average of say $15 each for 4... that would be $60 plus $4.80 tax =64.80 U would have to pay...only $35.20 less than we pay for all our privileges.

Do U still think $100 is too much for PRIVILEGES???

Anything U really want U find a way to get it. Some people spend way more than $100 a month on movies and hamburgers, and p1zza, not to mention other things to get U high (not everyone). The point is if U really want to, U can join. Since U know another year is coming (Iguess), then $10 a month saved will get U in next year. I really did not want to pay the $100 at first, then I really thought it out...What is life about anyway if U can't enjoy it?

Peace

Has anyone at the soundchecks just come right out & asked the man himself if these CD's are going to be released in stores?
The NPGMC has never said that they wouldn't be, so what gives?
I would think that if they were club exclusives, they would really drive that home as a selling point. They are either too burned from the CB backlash to call them absolute exclusives or they really are planning to release them to the general public at a later time.

What kind of bullshit are you on people? 100$ is by no means little money for products you haven't even heard forehand. To use expressions like "fucking cheap" goes well beyond common sense to me. Hell, I wouldn't even lend my BROTHER a 100$ without knowing what he is going to spend it on. Plus, since Prince isn't touring Europe there seems to be very little that could attract his fans to join the club here. If the fact that you've paid that 100$ will give you a cause for some kind of scarily deprived elitism I have to say you people certainly need to look for more varied leisure activities!

Right on, Mackopolis just wanted to know if the CD would be released in stores as well. Certainly not a cause that would deserve such reaction.

Novabreaker ! I do agree with you ! The $100 you pay is to get the cd for free.

I would'nt mind paying 16$ to buy it myself.

and $100 id $100 ! you can get tons of things for $100 like, for example 2 pairs of shoes (barely) for my 2 kids !!!

One Nite Alone will NOT be available in shops (no ifs buts or maybes)
It MIGHTbe made available for purchase through NPGMC retail next year IF there are any overstocks left.
