Prince ever had a real job when he was young growing up before hitting it big??? I mean working to save up for some of his instrument like a department store, grocery store, Jack in The Box, etc.

Usher in a movie theater was mentioned before.maybe that´s the reason how he could afford being such a cineast, because that´s a pretty expensive hobby for a young, poor kid who was hungry.

It's called survival. Most folks don't realize how determined Prince was.

As 'Kooleaze' put it... He was a "young poor kid who was hungry", and I add, with a nearly inhuman amount of faith and determination.

There is no comparison in today's music world, where talentless morons get a break, when they shouldn't even be allowed on a record.

He was 16 turning down Record Contracts, so I dont think he was worried.

But I did see a Pic on here once when he was playing a wedding
