How many of you obsess about putting your favourite tracks on one cd?

This invades my thoughts on almost a daily basis now, should I see a shrink?

At the moment my imaginary tracklisting looks like this:

Do Me, Baby (Long Version)
International Lover
How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?
The Beautiful Ones
Forever In My Life
If I Was Your Girlfriend (Long Version)
Superfunkycalifragisexy
Insatiable
Shhh
Ripopgodazippa
The One
Here On Earth
A Case Of U
Avalanche
Empty Room

Is it ok to only have one fast track? And my biggest worry is that I've left out "I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore" but what could I possible ditch in order to include it as I just can't allow myself to replace Do Me Baby with the edited version?

yep, im constantly thinking about making CDs! and not just Prince either!

Its just too hard, and youve got to get them all in the right order, and then

you realise youve forgotten something, and then you start to think about making

them to go with moods and it just explodes!

see- youre not the most obessive person on here!

That's comforting. I was hoping we weren't all weirdos on here.

It is healthy to be a bit different though as long as you don't go too far.

I don't obsess about it because the whole endeavor would be pointless for me.

Just 80 minutes to get all my favorites? One cd?? Ain't gonna happen.

I think about the order of the songs more so than the actual songs . I find that the order is most important if your going for a type of mood . It has to flow .

I made a c.d. called "Purple Spirit", you know, the songs that give me the "purple spirit" when i play them

LGC 12"
Computer Blue 12"
Glam Slam
Paisley Park
Play in the sunshine
Dead On It

There's a slew of others that should be on there, but i was getting ready for work one day and just threw a c.d. together.

well exactly - thats why it ends up taking longer to do it because you relise youll have to make it a series of CDs!

Well, yes, but I guess Im talking about what I used to do fairly recently before I had an ipod!
Im guessing some people still dont tho!

Its the whole ritualistic aspect of making it tho, figuring out what to put on, sitting there while you make it....hold up im quoting Hi Fidelity now...
