Comment on Prince by Supreme Court Nominee John Roberts Back in 1984, George W. Bush's current nominee to the Supreme Court worked as an attorney for the Reagan administration and was instrumental in denying a couple of requests by Michael Jackson's public relations firm for President Reagan to sign letters to Jackson commending him on his charitable efforts. Among the comments he made was one about Prince:
"'In today's [Washington] Post there were already reports that some youngsters were turning away from Mr. Jackson in favor of a newcomer who goes by the name "Prince," and is apparently planning a Washington concert", he wrote to Fielding. 'Will he receive a presidential letter?'" | |
