I just got a cool Prince collectable I work in radio here in Erie PA. A guy I work with has been in radio for over 30 years. He brought in an industry magazine called "The confidential report". It was dated 9/25/78. Near the back of the magazine was an ad for Warner Brothers records and songs going for radio adds. The top one was "Peggy Sue" by the Beach Boys and the bottom one was....."SOFT AND WET" by PRINCE!!! It says it was a new add to WTIX (wherever that station is). I told him I was gonna make a copy of the ad and he told me I could just keep the magazine so I could have the original!!! I think I'll frame it and display it in my music room. Perhaps I'm just crazy but I think that it really cool, seeing as it was his first single. Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

I haven't heard the call letters WTIX since 1978!!!
