I think this song was supposed to be on the New Power Soul album, its better than most songs on N.P.S., I found the song on the Rave 'remix" album from NPGMC, anyone have this song on a different cd?

It's not been released on any other official cd's

not sure, I think it was written shortly AFTER the completion of
New Power Soul since it's in the "Mel B" interview and all and I
think he's supposed to be sort of "recording" the song in that.

anywho, I think it was just his song of the moment at that time.

indeed, it is better than most things on NPS, although it would
have fit on there very well together with a few other guitarcuts
to lighten it up a bit.

The Nighttown Aftershow 2002 performance of this song is so fantastic. The guitar solo is so wild and agressive, I wish I could see a video of that. Great solos by Renato and especially Rhonda as well!

The most amazing version of this that I've heard was performed during the soundcheck before the first night in Sydney, Australia in October 2003. Very powerful performance - both vocal and guitar as I recall. He segued into it right after surprising all of us that were present with an impromptu version of 17 Days during which he walked around the back of the arena and danced in front of one of the security guards. It would be a very lucky person that had a copy of that show!

One of his best of the 90s. Would have worked great, both, as an opener of an album or as an ending cut. And all Prince songs you can say the same thing of, have been classics on their own right.

I really love this song, especially the way he sings it.
It sounds very different from anything else he's ever done in my opinion,
and its one of my faves. Beautiful

I thought the only difference between the 2 versions is the RAVE2 version is the same as the video version just the guitar track has been added. The video version is a little more laid back without the guitar.

The Rave In2 version has a completely different, heavily distorted guitar track all over the top of it!

The video version is more low key with Prince playing more melodic clean guitar and is prettier for it.
