I was listening to the end of "Darling Nikki" in reverse, and the line "Hello. How are you? I'm fine, 'cause I know that the Lord is coming soon, coming, coming soon..." (especially the latter half) sounds like it comes from some kind of (pardon if this term isn't politically correct, but at the moment I can't think of another way to describe it) "Negro spiritual". Does anyone know anything about this, or is at all of Prince's own invention?
