It would have no bearing on my life and I would continue to worship as I pleased. Prince has had religion in his music since Controversy I don't see why if has become an issue all of a sudden. This has got to be one of the dumbest debates. I have the Purple Rain Tour 1985 VHS and he says the exact same thing. So has it been bothering you for 20 years or is this just the first time you heard it? Furthermore, who the hell are you to critique Prince's music? We are all here for a reason, we all love Prince! I just don't understand why one saying on a song would irritate you so much. So what if that are his beliefs, or if he desplays it sometimes, or some of his songs have a spiritual undertone. Prince tends to say shit fairly spontaneously and it works sometimes, other times it doesnt. I agree that the alteration of the lyrics was bullshit on rave, but we have one man and only one man to blame for this, Larry.

so when Prince really didn't have a belief system in place....when he was vague....seem to be a little lost....some would say he was "open minded"....but now....

when he has decided that for him Jesus is the way...and THE TRUTH....he is blind....full of crap.....and he is somehow imposing his views on others.

So, these are all variations on a theme, and only the last two are after his JW conversion. To me, they all say basically the same thing. Seems to me, folks are just now deciding to get offended since he belongs to a specific denomination. When he was non-specific in his Judeo-Christian beliefs, no one seemed to have a problem with it.

As 4 Prince & his version of the TRUTH, none of us has 2 accept it. Even those of us who do not, or happen 2 not b Christians, still accept Prince's ever-increasing musical coersion of his spritual views on others.

Imay be wrong but Prince has always been into Jesus and God just listen to some of his old songs very very carefully.This new thing has not just started since he became a JW. As some one else mentioned the Cross, Anna Stesia, I wish u heaven,there are probably boo koo more. If u don't like those certain songs than don't listen to it or blocked it out of your mind.
