WITNESS 4 THE PROSECUTION!

Some1 has bound 2 have said this B4. But hey i've only just realised it. Don't cha think it would be quite appropriate/comical 4 Prince to release the classic bootleg Witness with regards to his new found faith?

Heh heh heh... oh sorry, i'll get my coat.

Which version do you prefer? I like what I think is the second one. It's the one with the funky base line throughout it. I didn't like the other as much, it wasn't bad but the second one was so much better.

I like the second, more funkier version (from 1988?) as oppossed to the more "rock" version from 1986.

Its gotta be the original 'no horns' version. I think Wendy & Lisa contributed many great momments to Prince's music but when Prince left them to 'finish off' the song (which I've heard was the case) putting backing vocals and organ in is fine, but that repeatative horn blast has to be the most annoying and pointless add on ever!

I use to quote a line or two from that song back in the late 80's-early 90's...I remember telling a girl that in class I once traded chairs to be near her...(like Prince says in the song)...Aloha~

In the NPGMC chat back in February, it was mentioned that John Blackwell had played on Witness 4 The Prosecution, so maybe we will get a new version, perhaps on the Best of 0+-> mentioned in the One Nite Alone tourbook.

Yes it was an authentic PP,

Prince had re-recorded EVERY album he'd ever made, and seriously considered releasing them all in direct competition with the Warner Bros originals.

He has since changed his mind about that idea, and instead assembled a double 'best of' album of these so called 'new masters', which is also believed to include 2 or 3 new songs as well.
