Paisley Park Extended I LUV the guitar work all the way through this track!!
Haha its also a trip sounding like he's trying to crank an old jalopy all the way through it!! [Edited 8/17/05 20:51pm] "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I've always had a soft spot for that song - love the guitar on it! My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

This record is certainly in my Prince top 20.
The intro (classic) and the extended part with guitar solo are exquisite! Somehow, when playing this back in the day, this album always seemed to last longer than it's seven minutes, as I always got so lost in this song.... Lovely song!

Yeah that solo's alright, but Paisley Park suffers from the same thing that drags down the rest of the 1985 extended mixes. It's boring! The 1985 mixes seem quickly put together without much thought. Notice that exact solo appears in both the intro and outro of the mix. It's not that wonderful that we had to hear it twice, and why "Pais- ... Pais-... Pais- ..."?
You'll find an identical Piano solo on the intro and near the end of "Pop Life (Fresh Dance Mix) and We get the same "scratchy" guitar lick at the beginning and end of "Raspberry Beret", plus a horrible harp solo (That's Harmonica for those who don't talk like that). I hate the 1985 extended mixes. They're just cheap sounding. And don't even get me started on 21 minutes of America. I usually play that when I want to make everybody in the house leave. And it works too. [Edited 8/18/05 10:44am] [Edited 8/18/05 10:45am] Keep your headphones on.

I had to scratch and scrounge to come up with my collection of 80s remixes or extendeds that he had out because they don't make em anymore and I just now finished really. I tell you after all that work I did to come back up with them I would'nt give them up to anyone. [Edited 8/18/05 10:51am] "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P.
