What's been your favourite opening track / performance to a Prince gig so far? Sorry if this has been posted b4. My choices were
Purple Rain Tour - "lets go crazy" - you know the dearly beloved intro, curtain drops and all hell breaks loose! Act 11 tour Europe - Mayte glides over the audience in the Sexy MF Suit with chain mail veil, gets on stage, we think it's Prince and shock , horror she strips and it's Mayte. TRC - Dude strolls out on stage and tears it up on Guitar. But the winner by a mile is Lovesexy, this was my first gig back in '88, i mean what a way to open a show, the chest pounding slow funk drum beat, snare drum pound on the 2 and 4, the intro to Erotic City, arrives in the White T-Bird and then tears shit up with that nasty melody!!!!!. It never got any better that this. Any thoughts anyone. | |

He opened with "Everybody's here this is the jam of the year"! It was cool. | |
