Why didn't Prince never comment about 9/11?

I have this feeling the Jehovah's Witnesses had something to do with why Prince didn't mention 9/11 after the bombing. Sure, he did mention it in lyrics, way after the fact, but he has yet to say anything, pro or con.

The Witnesses probably didn't want any bad publicity, if Prince would have said something crazy, after the terrorist attacks.

This is probably why you never see Witnesses in the media; they can say their crazy shit in private, but if they admit it in public, they would lose all their money, and lose credibility, if they ever had any at all.

Maybe because, blessedly, Prince doesn't feel the entire world is hanging on his every thought, opinion and feeling.

Maybe because he decided to express his comments on the matter only to those closest to him.

He probably didnt comment because he is a musician; not a politician. No one cares what Prince has to say about 911 expect the most obsessed fans. People want to hear his music and see his show.

Everywhere

Prince talks of certian subject matters in subtle ways. Like in Cinnamon Girl, he seems to recognize the effects of 9/11, and how such an event could cause a chain reaction of hate, and vengance. I imagine Prince relates to worldy event from a biblical perspective, as if all things that are happening now, where written long before. Prince may appear to have a boxed in mind, due to his JW ways, but all in all, I feel he has a pretty good birds eye view of the world, and it's events.

nod Agreed. With videos like Cinnamon Girl and songs like Dear Mr. Man, I think P has said enough. Now, its just a matter of who is paying attention and willing to listen.

He did at the NYC 2002 Rainbow Children Concert. He said to open your bibles & you will get all your answers (He broke down Purple Rain in a Keyboard Version & then talked about 9/11)

The only people who've said anything "pro" 9/11 are currently living in caves and are on "Most Wanted" posters. So why on earth would you feel Prince needs to go there?

Yes, some did in fact some find his comments to be bordering on being quote un quote non-American/Militant. But, you know people are so anal retentive and politically correct these days. Shit, they made just as loud as a stink about P's Dear Mr. Man. So, I would say anything goes when it comes to societal opinion.

oh, is he?

is anyone interested in a lame comment?
is he an xpert foreing affairs analyst or something?

everyone has an opinion but obviously some opinions are more serious than the typical "oh, that was sad!"
