Pistol-shaped microphone With Prince being such a spiritual and peace-loving person, and also considering all the terrorism and violence we are currently seeing in the world - don't you think it's strange that he still (in live performance) uses a microphone shaped like a pistol?
Not that it really bothers me that much, but I mean, what's the symbolism? What's that supposed to mean, really? | |

In the late 90's Prince had an onlie Q & A session with his fans on his then website, love4oneanother.com. The question about the violent symbolism of the gun microphone was raised.\
Prince's reply was a typical Prince answer to the effect that the words of peace and love he sings into his pistol/microphone nullify it's violent design and turn it into a weapon of funk and all that is lovesexy. "New Power slide...." |
