Chicago: did Prince play piano... Hi people
I got my copy of the Chicago bootleg. All I can say is that it´s the best P concert (as a whole) I ever listened to. It´s very intimate, and it doesn´t had loops and those annoying chants that P ever used. I just have a question for people who were there...did Prince play piano on tracks like ´TRC´? There is a loong solo, and Prince never used to give so much freedom for a keyboard player, so I want to know if it´s Prince. And did Prince play the beautiful piano solo on ´Avalanche´??? Thanks a lot

In New Orleans he did give the keyboardist a looong solo and it was fabulous!!!

gustavo, I think you're right about the concert. Compare this to the Purple Rain Tour, for example. His peak in popularity, but this show simply blows it away! I never enjoyed a show so much like this one.
As for the piano solos... I have asked the same question before and was answered by Calhoun that on both tracks, Rainbow Children and Avalanche, Renato Neto plays the solos. Anyone wanna confirm this?

Yup it was Renato on both Rainbow Children and Avalanche. He's an amazing keyboardist... he hunches over the keys like a mad scientist.
