Are you ever accused of trying to walk, talk, or act like Prince at all?... i act like him now and again. Trying to be different/mysterious.

And i play guitar at a young age and i am obbsessed with music.

I use things that he's said before.


For example, I'm constantly quoating Bob George when I talk to people. Yeah, I'm the only that gets the joke, but the looks on people's faces is worth it after they've heard me say "I'll slap you ass into the middle of next week" or "Now go in there an put on tht little wig I bought ya."

I used to copy his hairstyles, that is, when he was wearing nice hairstyles.

Hairstyles I've had: (I would post the pics but for some reason when I post pics they disappear, I've tried asking for assistance but keep getting ignored about it, so oh well!)

"1999" into "Purple Rain Hair" Curly look with the teased front, tapered sides and long back.

I could have killed him when he cut his hair for "ATWIAD", cause I just had to do the same.

I sported the "Parade" curls and waves.

From SOTT to GB, we were both sporting the long and sexy, free flowing look.

Then DP happened and the dreaded "Typhoon", I just couldn't bring myself to do it! I hated it! So for the first time in almost 10 years, I couldn't sport a Prince do! It was a very dark hair period for me.

There would be one last go 'round for Prince and I though. I saw the TMBGITW video and I was in love, after seeing it, I went straight to the salon and my stylist knew by the look on my face, I'd seen it too. He just shook his head and told me to sit down. He gave it a little twist though he streaked my hair and then gave me this simply stunning candy apple red rinse. I tell you, that had to be the hypest year of my life! I was young, single, paid and fine. Sweet memories, sweet, sweet memories!

After that, I had to grow up! No longer could I just do what I wanted to my hair because now I was a business professional and had to look the part, blah, blah. Besides that Prince's hair stopped thrilling me, so I guess it was all like it was supposed to be, for the best and all.

Though right now my hair is long, down my back with not much going on with it and I'm the owner of my own company, so if Prince lets his hair grow back and does something fly with it, there could just be one more chance for us!

yes i have tried to wear heels but i cant walk in them
my parents wont let me grow my hair out for curls so i cant do that
i play any guitar that is thrown at me i try to wear suits and long purple
jackets i even wore a wig one time to have the long perm hair style
but the only like prince that i can do is the music

Yes, but not intentionally (I think). People have said that my speaking voice is a little simular to Prince's as are a few characteristic traits. Also, I have long eye lashes. Unless I cut them,I can't really help that though . Most people know I'm a Prince fan so they see what's already in their heads in the first place.

I think it's almost impossible to not imitate people who inspire us on some level. Like: Do you think Prince copied some of Hendrix's style?

I got so embarressed that friends and even their parents were saying i was looking like prince, that I intentionally tried to style and act completely different back in the late 80's aearly 90's.

Yeah, I cut my legs off at the knees and grew my hair high.

Personally, I see the guy from No Doubt in you alot more than Prince but everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

I will also sometimes swipe things he's said or quote lyrics. Most people aren't familiar with his non-musical mannerisms, so they don't get it (which I love). I also occassionally listen with my hands above my mouth in psuedo prayer position and my fingers crossed at the top below my nose. But I've always done that.

if you dressed the guy-from-no doubt or me in prince's styles and makeup we would both look like weird prince imitators.

I once went to a club wearing only pants and a long coat (no shirt) after seeing a pic of him dressed the same from the parade era!! Unbelievebly I scored that night!

I am a guy by the way..

In my high-school graduation-book my page was only filled with the text:'May U Live 2 See The Dawn, U No Who U R' and one of my famous drunk-pics.....my english teacher was mad!
