Separated At Birth "Cool In You" by Babyface and "Love 2 The 9's" by Prince and the NPG?

Does anyone notice a similarity in the hook in Babyface's "For The Cool In You" ('93 if I recall) and "Love 2 The 9's." It struck me as having the same vibe.
