Do you have a unique favorite Prince song? If you ask somebody their favorite P. song (as a few threads do now) most of the time people answer the old reliables. Purple Rain, When Doves Cry, Adore, Sign O the Times, If I Was Your Girlfriend...etc. Does anybody out there have your very favorite P. song as one that is hardly ever mentioned on a list of people's favorites? Not something obscure or bootleg...just a track on a commercial album that has hit you in a special place but that no one else seems to dig as much?

"With You" (from Prince 1979) was one of my personal favs for the longest time until Jill Jones did a cover of it, and then it didn't feel quite so special to me anymore.  Nowdays, I'd probably say "One Song" for good reason. It was a special time. | |
