poet99 (fix the damn search!!!  )
besides give god a try are there any more circulating poet99 tracks? Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

besides give god a try are there any more circulating poet99 tracks? There are indeed! The Poet99 tracks are:- Give God A Try The Boom It's Our Music Burn 3 Shots All tracks are on the 'Magnificent Outtakes' bootleg on the Ladybird label.

I doubt it. The tracks were recorded in about 94 well before his conversion. I mean he name checks Poet 99 on Day's O' Wild.....  if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

I doubt it. The tracks were recorded in about 94 well before his conversion. I mean he name checks Poet 99 on Day's O' Wild..... really? i thought some of the Poet 99 tracks were being distributed at his local kingdom hall or somesuch...or am i thinking of a different group of recordings making the rounds? | |

Prince has used various samples of Poet 99, 'Dead like Elvis' on Face Down springs to mind. Doesn't sound to me like the sort of stuff Prince would distribute at a kingdom hall. | |
