Prince's "Batman" Videos available 10/18/05 The Batfilms from 1989-1997 are being re-released in October complete with Prince's videos. My recommendation? Buy "Batman" with Jack and Keaton. Skip the others-and go see "Batman Begins" in the theaters .
Batman DVD Giftset Coming October 18 Source: The Hollywood Reporter July 26, 2005 The Hollywood Reporter says that Warner Home Video will release a series of two-disc special editions of the four original "Batman" movies from the late 1980s and '90s. Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin will be released October 18. They will be available individually and as a gift set, "Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997." Each special-edition DVD features a new digital transfer of the movie. Bonus features include director commentaries by Joel Schumacher and Tim Burton, cast and crew interviews, several new documentaries, "making of" featurettes and nine music videos from Prince, Seal and the Smashing Pumpkins. What? No Kiss Me, Thrill Me, Kill Me U2?
I just want the one with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. If that happens to come boxed with the one that includes Prince, then that's fine FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

Tim took sooooo many ideas/visual ideas from Prince & Purple Rain for Batman!
Camera Angles (Alley Shots, Alley Stairways, Smoke, Motorcycle Shots/Lighting) Clothing (Jill Jones Costume at the end WITH the dog, before the final Purple Rain performance in the back... Burton has a character with the EXACT Costume) To be fair to Burton he admitted that he played the 1999 Album inbetween shots.. So he is a huge fan. But it is funny to see all the Visual Concepts taking from Purple Rain & seeing it in Tim Burton's Batman Movies.

What are you talking about?? Batman Begins is one of the few movies this slumping summer movie season that has done well. It is already the 2nd highest grossing Batman Movie of them all (Behind the original). It's made nearly $400 Million Dollars worlwide. Only "Star Wars" and "War of the Worlds" has done better. Maybe you should go see it before you start sayin' what you don't know. If you don't appreciate the post then just ignore it and go see "The Bad News Bears". Does anybody remember Prince performing "Electric Chair" on Saturday Night Live? I've seen those "best of" shows on Comedy Central, and I've never seen it replayed. It was too funky!

[Edited 7/27/05 9:27am] did i say i didnt appreciate the post? no.....i simply said you might want to seperate your commentary from the press release...its totally inappropriate... and i have no interest in seeing the film..its loks a bore....and the comments from most fanboys on aintitcool and rottentomatoes was of dissappointment...the domestic box office was lackluster..... but if you enjoyed the movie, more power to you...but why knock "this news item" by throwing in a jab at it in the middle of it.. if you dont like this batman (being released on video) then you should have ignored it (rather then posting a slam on it and then submitting it as news) and went and saw "the bad news bears"..... the logic works both ways bub.. Space for sale...

Domestic box office is up to almost $200 million. The studio must have been expecting 'Titanic' like numbers if that's considered lackluster.

Damn it. I don't really like the first four Batman films, but I will be buying the first DVD just for the Prince videos. I have fond memories of that summer and those videos! Great fun.

No harm was meant to you. It just seems as if you have yet to see the new Batman flick and you see fit to throw in your 2 cents about it anyway. Like I said-In a summer of low box office returns Batman is doing stellar. Is it "Star Wars"? No. Still making the bucks though. Why can't it make more than the original Batman? Prince music makes all the difference obviously "New Power slide...."
