The Revolution rocked with Prince!

Even though the Purple Rain era was Prince's commercial peak, I have 2 add that the Revolution band of that time kicked ASS.

A good example of this funk is the performance of 'Baby I'm A Star' live. BTW, this song should have been mentioned in the fonkiest thread.

Wendy and Mico's guitar, plus Sheila on percussion added 2 the THANG that Prince loves 2 do live. More respect to Brownmark as well.

Sorry, ya'll, but I can see why Prince had to let Bobby Z go. Yes, electric drums at that time were in, but they didn't save his skills.

(Plz don't connect Bobby's skills w/ his personality.)

Sorry, but if you're going to say that "the Revolution band...kicked ASS," then you're talking about Bobby Z, too.

I thought the Revolution was a great band. Not his best band, but they were still one of my favorite bands.

I think Bobby Z. doesn't get enough respect for being Prince's drummer for close to 10 years-that takes alot of dedication and skill!
If Bobby was awful,Prince wouldn't have kept him behind the kit for so long.
As a matter of fact, some of my favorite live Prince moments were with Bobby on drums, not Sheila, not Michael Bland, not Blackwell....Bobby Z.!

nod Agreed. There's no doubt that Bobby Z has solid drumming skills.
