1.Lyric changes. If he doesn't like what he used to write, fine. But he shouldn't change it, it's part of his past and part of what got him where he's at today.
2.Toning down and cleaning up his behaviour. Being mature doesn't mean he has to be boring.
3.Lying about his baby on Oprah. That was kinda creepy.
4.Being a hypocrite, especially concerning the behaviour/public image of newer artists who are doing nothing but follow in the "sex sells" mold he helped create.
5.Tony M. I have to skip over the parts of tracks he's in. It's funny. Normally when P. works with a talentless wonder, he's at least getting some ass out of the deal. I hope that wasn't his motivation here. Cuz Tony? Ew.

3. Cancel the Gold Experience tour in Paris .. I know i'am selfish).

In no particular order:

1. Graffiti Bridge (the movie): WTF?!?!! I just watched it last night. I was like Holy Shit--I never want anyone who knows I'm a Prince fan to see this. I was laughing aloud. (Btw was he wearing bikini bottoms & thigh high leg warmers during Thieves in the Temple?)
2. Tony M.: the rapping, and the stupid dialogue in between songs as well.
3. Assless pants: personally, I've never seen the performance, but whenever I talk to non-fans it seems that those damn pants (and the name change) are the last things they remember about him. He's SO much more than that!
4. : see #3.
5. The clean image/lyrics: for the same reasons others have stated.

1) The Warner's beef (so many of his bad decisions were affected by the animosity in this period)

2) His direction and writing of Graffiti Bridge (would have been a better movie if the director wasn't so in love with the star)

3) His decision to release "If I Was Your Girlfriend" as the second US single for Sign O The Times (killed album momentum, almost tanked the whole project)

4) His decision not to cuss (artists should have no limits; sometimes the "f word" expresses a thought more clearly than "fiddlesticks")

5) His meeting and complete devotion to Larry Graham (no artist of Prince's talent should take advice/counsel/whatever from anyone, much less a pretty decent bassist who has turned himself into a svengali)
