Was it the Lovesexy Show? It looks like it may be pretty good. If this is

the correct one did he ever release it on video? Is it out? Or is it still

considered a bootleg? I've seen snippets and stuff of whatever the one is

i'm thinking of but don't have anything on it now and would love to own it

if it is released.

Sounds like you are talking about the Nude Tour which was the one after Lovesexy, hence the similarity in look.

Does he play Purple Rain with a white guitar but not like the usual 'cloud' one?

The Toyko concert was filmed and broadcast in Japan at the time (though I seem to remember hearing they showed the songs out of order) so there are some very good boots of the concerts taken from the tv.
