Oddly enough, I did think so after buying the 'I Want Your Sex' single. But it was for the B-side 'Hard Day'. George had his little Camille voice going on at the end and the drums were very 80's Prince.
Also, an earlier Wham cut called 'Battlestations' vaguely reminded me of Prince. | |

As stated above, I think it´s pretty obvious when you listen to his older material.
He also commented on the whole "slave" thing in the 90´s during a couple of interviews, showing respect but saying that the two situations were a bit different. ( You know, back when George was having problems with his record company Sony) Prince gave props to George around the time he performed at the MTV Awards 1994. They also met and talked briefly at the aftershow at the Tränenpalast, Berlin in 1994...George was sitting upstairs if I recall correctly...lots of celebrities at that show, Jean Paul Gaultier and Naomi Campbell were standing right behind me. Prince even mentioned George Michael during Days Of Wild..( "I wanna give much props to George Micheal..etc.etc.")  ´s outfit was extremely cool that night." I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" | |

"Now I can come somewhere near him as a musician and a maker of records, I can appreciate him so much more. I think he's made some of the best records of the last 10 years.
